Daniel “Dan” Marion Trombley, age 81, born October 4, 1939, of Morristown, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was preceded in death by his father, Arch Trombley; and mother, Mary Rudy Trombley. He is survived by his cousins, Wayne King of Richmond, VA, Linda King Post of Hillsville, VA, and Ivan Rudy King of Richmond, VA; and second cousins, Vicki Neese, Rudy Neese, Susan Rudy, Rebecca Hart, Kyle Rudy, and additional cousins. Dan was a second generation owner and operator of the family business, Trombley Electronics. He attended First United Methodist Church. Over the years, he was involved in a variety of sports, including golf, skiing, mostly in Colorado, and in recent years, active in exercise and weight lifting fitness. Dan was a member of the Jaycees and held various positions, including president. He also enjoyed traveling with others from Morristown to a multitude of States for ideas to improve the Morristown community, of which one was larger street signs. Dan was involved with the Achievement Center as a prominent board member for many, many years and was very instrumental in starting several programs. Special thanks is extended to Dan’s long-time friend, Jo Anne Kell and also for his local support group and friends. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 a.m. Monday, February 15th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
