David Christensen Obituary

David Alan Christensen, age 76, of Jefferson City, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at his residence. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, retired from Magnavox/Phillips, and was a Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Harold and Elizabeth Susas Christensen; and brother, Mark Christensen. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Virginia Christensen; son, Charles David (Annette) Christensen; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Christensen; grandchildren, Zachary Christensen, Kaleigh Christensen, Emmalee Christensen, Colton Christensen, and Ben Miller; great-grandchildren, Raylnn, Adalyn, Brynnleigh, Tate, and Katelyn; sister, Susan (Steve) Schwab; and sister-in-law, Karen (Michael) Norton. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm Saturday, May 11th at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 2 p.m. with Father Miguel Velez officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or to Smoky Mountain Hospice: P.O. Box 754 Newport, TN 37822.
