David Majory Dessert, age 82, of Jefferson City, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was born in Altadena, California on August 13, 1940. David was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Beulah “Bea” Mae Dessert of Jefferson City, formerly of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Terri (Don) Wofford of Laramie, WY; granddaughter, Deanna (Hubert “Frankie” Jr.) Ottinger of Greeneville; great-granddaughters, Olivia Pearl Ottinger, Cora Lee Ottinger, and Ruthie Mae Ottinger; sister, Majory Dessert of Brookings, OR; nephews, Tim (Kathy) Norton of Elizabethton and Keith (Kim) Norton of Charlotte, NC; nieces, Sharon Norton of Valdosta, GA and Debbie (Dan) Pierce of Jacksonville. FL; and uncle, Ray Norton of Valdosta, GA. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Morristown-Hamblen Oncology. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
