David Carroll Long

David Carroll Long, age 69, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at his residence. He was a member of Westview Baptist Church where he loved to sing and was the assistant choir director. He formerly worked at Berkline and Triangle Pacific. David was a loving husband, father, and Poppy and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, James H. and Pearle Long; and his little buddy, Bandit. He is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Brenda Long; son, Jody (Leslie) Long; grandchildren, Halyn Long and Lucas (Jadyn) Walker; great-grandchildren, Kynnlyy Walker and Carolina Walker; brothers, James E. “Butch” (Virginia) Long, Jerry Dale (Sharon) Long of Bulls Gap, and Gary Michael (Barbara) Long; and several nieces, nephews and special in-laws. Friends may pay their respects from 1 – 5 p.m. Sunday, April 5th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 6th at Hamblen Memory Gardens with Rev. Travis Webb officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Westview Baptist Church. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
