Debra Joan (Short) Wilson

Debra Joan Short Wilson, age 61, of Morristown, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. She was a member of First Independent Freewill Baptist Church in Bean Station. Debra was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clay and Ethel Short. She is survived by her husband of thirty-seven years, Bobby Wilson; daughters, Regina Dyer, Heather (John) Estep, and Jessica (Jacob) Cameron; step-sons, Joey Wilson and Steven (Dana) Wilson; grandchildren, Logan, Lily, Holly, Kevin “Bubba,” Gabby, Kiersten, C.J., Carissa, Blake, and Xander; sisters, Carolyn (Curtis) Webber, Linda Campbell, and Kathy (Dale) Jarnigan; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to caregivers, Teresa Parker, Julie Dalton, Jennifer Long, and Tracy Rodriguez, and to nurse, Jennifer Catron with Amedisys Hospice. The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 10th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Donnie Myers and Rev. Gary Baxley officiating. Interment will follow at First Independent Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Bean Station. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
