Donald Curtis Carpenter

Donald Curtis Carpenter, age 87, of Morristown, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, November 8, 2021 at his residence. He was a member and deacon of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. Donald was a loving and caring Dad and Papaw and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Martha Ann Carpenter; precious daughter, Delores Ann Carpenter; father, John Caster Carpenter; mother, Venie Henry Carpenter; step-mother, Flora Carpenter; grandsons, Timothy “Scott” Dalton and Jonathan “Jon Boy” Carpenter; and great-grandson, Tristyn Scott Lane. He is survived by his children, Cathy (Jay) Coffey, Ronnie (Becky) Carpenter, Patricia (Troy) Jarnagin, and Roger “Lynn” Carpenter; grandchildren, Melissa (Billy) Dalton, Crystal (David) Carter, Amanda (Eric) Clayton, Tasha (Edward) Collins, Kristy (Elijah) Lane, Tiffany (Tyler) Gossett, and April Carpenter; great-grandchildren, Brandi (Derrick) Coffey, Bradley, Breonna, Merissa, Mykenzie, Timothy, Jayde, Justyn, Gabby, Noah, Naveah, Bella, Emma, Kennedy, Colt, Remy, Grayson, Daniel, Robbie, and April; and special caregivers and friends, Mike Hess and Mary Smith. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. Thursday, November 11th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, November 12th at the funeral home with Rev. Clayton Coffey and Rev. Richard Stubblefield officiating. Interment will follow at Bethesda Cemetery.  Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
