Donald Ray Livesay, age 82, of Knoxville, formerly of Morristown, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during Vietnam as a SK2 Petty Officer. He was a loving and devoted husband and caregiver to his wife during her illness and later cared for his companion, Mila Juna, during her illness. He enjoyed traveling, making jewelry, carving canes for his family and friends, and collecting old coins and sports memorabilia. Don was a loving and devoted father and grandfather and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hoang Thi Toan Livesay; parents, Tip and Ethel Livesay; special companion, Mila Juna; brothers, Kelly Livesay and Dale “Pete” Livesay; sisters, Thelma Trent, Mae Regnier, Betty Samsel, Mildred Miller, Billie Livesay, and Kay Livesay. He is survived by his daughters, Jackie (Bobby) Hopkins, Josette (Dale) Free, and Calandra (Michael “Stitch”) Williamson; grandchildren, Lauren Ashlee Hopkins and Gryphen Daccoda Collier Free; brother, Chuck (Myrna) Livesay; sister, Lois Trent; and his fur baby, Bentley. The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 13th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor, Dr. Bruce L. Martin officiating. Military graveside services will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday, August 22nd at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
