Doris Ann Lee Graves, age 92, of Morristown, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024 at her residence. She was a long-time member of Economy Church. Doris graduated Morristown Hamblen High School in 1950. She was a member of Hamblen County Farm Bureau and served as their first female President. Along with her husband, T.J. and her brother-in-law, Charles, they owned and operated Morristown Milling Company for over fifty years. After retiring, Doris went back to work at Westside Chapel Funeral Home where she was always found at the front door greeting everyone with a smile and a hug. She had a gift for comforting people in their time of loss. She will be dearly missed and the impact she had on the community will never be forgotten. She was preceded in death by her husband of seventy-two years, T. J. Graves; parents, Mack Roy and Roberta Lee; sister, Mildred Ellis; brother, Donald Lee; niece, Janet Ellis; and nephew, Stephen McCrary. She is survived by her daughters, Tricia (Tim) Blash and Donna (Randy) Myers; grandchildren, Anna Blash (Aaron), Jason Blash (Abby), and Donna (Warren) Sewell; great-grandson, Thomas Cloutier; sister-in-law, Anne Graves Moore; nephews, David Ellis, Tom (Debbie) Moore, and David (Gail) Graves; nieces, Diane McCrary (Gary), Melissa (David) Keane, Nancy Moore (Dennis), and Susan (Bruce) Turk; The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 pm on Tuesday, August 13th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 pm on Tuesday with Rev. Tim Jones officiating. Family and friends will meet for an 11 am graveside service on Wednesday, August 14th at Economy Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Ellis, David Graves, Tom Moore, Phil Austin, John Austin, Jim Bell, Mark Burnett, Mike Bell, Bill Greene, William Austin, Stephen Austin, and David Howard.
