Doris “Granny” Diamond, age 98, of Bean Station, born February 14, 1923, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 24, 2021. She was a member of Hubert’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, John H. Diamond; an infant son; sons, Richard “R.N.”, Roger, and Randy Diamond; daughter, Judy Diamond; grandchildren, Kendall, Mark, Karen, and Michael Beeler and Ashley Diamond; son-in-law, Ray Beeler; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Diamond; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Audrey Beeler of Pontiac, MI, Barbara (Luther) Johnson, Sherry (Bob) Monday, and Connie (Terry) Walker of Bean Station; sons, Brent (Judy) Diamond of Bean Station and Keith (Betty) Diamond of Rutledge; daughter-in-law, Teresa Diamond of Bean Station; grandchildren, Tim, Rick (Deanine), Nick (Lorie), Vicky (Dean), Chris (Michelle), Miranda (Jeremy), David (Lamanda), Valerie, Shanda (Cale), Travis (Kendra), Jason (Jone), Kerrie (Jamie), Brandon (Tara), Jennifer (Jason), Cody, Caitlan (Dustin), and Jonathan; thirty-six great-grandchildren; eighteen great-great grandchildren; special family friend whom she loved as a daughter, Sharon (Larry) Long; brother, Wayne; sisters, Edna, Jeanette, Elora, and L.C.; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends. Special thanks to Avalon Hospice. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 28th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 29th at the funeral home with Rev. Lee Wayne Grubb and Rev. Larry Long officiating. Interment will follow at Chinquapin Cemetery in Hancock County with Rev. Wayne Vaughn officiating. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
