Doris "Mickey" Ann Mullins

On February 2, 2020 Heaven received a new angel. Doris Ann “Mickey” Mullins, passed away peacefully at her home in Whitesburg, TN with her beloved Johnathan Mullins and Jayson Horton at her side. Mickey, as she was so fondly called since childhood, moved to Morristown in 1965 and called Calvary Baptist Church her church home. Mickey had a kind and giving soul and was loved by many. She was born on April 4, 1935, the daughter of the late John and Lyda Moore. She married the late Homer “Paul” Mullins in December 1952 and was preceded in death by Paul (her husband of 59 years) in 2012. She was also preceded in death by her loving daughter, Debbie Elaine Trent; infant children, Johnathan “Johnny” and Pamela; grandson, Lee “Beefy” Shiflet; and siblings, Ralph and Edgar Moore. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her loving son, Paul and his wife Carolyn of Fort Worth, TX; sisters Edith Walls, JoAnne Allison, and Francis and the late Dean Smith, all of Glade Spring, VA; grandsons, Johnathan Mullins and partner Jayson Horton of Whitesburg, TN, Trey Mullins and wife, Amber, Josh Mullins and wife, Amber, both of Jefferson City, TN, and Ricky Mullins of Fort Worth, TX, Jeremy Bryant of Morristown, TN, and Tommy Shiflet of Morristown, TN; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Amedisys Home Health and Avalon Hospice. We could not have provided the care Mickey needed without their faithful assistance. She loved each one of those that provided care for her. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 8th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home from 2 - 3 P.M. with a brief service to follow.
