Dorothy Mildred Erwin

Dorothy M. Erwin, age 96, of Tobias, Nebraska, presently residing in Morristown, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Heritage Center. She was a member of United Methodist Church of Dunkirk, Ohio. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed. Dorothy loved flower gardening, dancing, traveling, playing cards, and cooking. She was a clerk on the Bruning Air Base in Nebraska in the 1940’s and was a homemaker for the remainder of her adult life. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-one years, Robert Eugene Erwin; son, Robert Bruce Erwin and wife Tara; parents, James and Anna Oliva; sisters, Anne, Marie, Sylvia, and Bessie; and brothers, Frankie, Milo, Ed, Jim, John, and Joe. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Wayne) Lucas; son, Ronald (Elaine) Erwin; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m. Friday, January 10th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. with Dr. Emmett Manley officiating. Cancer touched the lives of many of her loved ones, so the family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made  to The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
