Douglas Curtis “Squirrel” Myatt, age 81, of Morristown, passed away on Sunday June 26, 2022 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. He retired from Lenzing MFG. He was of the Church of Christ Faith and an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lottie Burgess; brother, Roger Myatt; niece, Marcee Bone; and sister-in-law, Pat Myatt. Douglas is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sammie Myatt; son, James (Mandee Norton) Myatt; daughters, Sherrie (Anthony Lakins) Myatt and Melissa (Darryl) Jones; brother, Jerry Myatt; sisters, Patti (Larry Joe) Garton and Sandra Gossett; sister-in-law, Ruth Ann (Gilbert) Taylor; grandchildren, Jessica (Andy) Morgan, Mandi (Joe) Sims, and Joseph Parker; great grandchildren, Wesley Morgan, Peyton Morgan, Colt Sims and Macy Gosnell; also several nieces and nephews; and beloved grand dog, Mack. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday June 29th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7p.m. with Andy Morgan officiating. Graveside services will be held on Thursday June 30th at 10a.m. at Economy Cemetery. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
