Douglas Albert Purkey

Douglas Albert Purkey, age 72, of Morristown, passed away Friday, October 10, 2025 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. He attended New Hope Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pierce and Irene Purkey. He is survived by his brothers, Donnie Purkey and Randy (Barbara) Purkey; sisters, Virginia (Blaine) Tackett, Pamela (Ronnie) Honaker, and Joyce Coffman; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, October 16th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Danny Purkey officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1 p.m. Friday, October 17th at Bethesda Cemetery for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
