Dr. Wayne McLemore, Our community sadly lost an exceptional husband, father, friend, and doctor on the evening of Monday, July 20, 2020. Wayne Laverne McLemore, 71, of Morristown, Tennessee, favorably known as “Dr. Mac”, passed away unexpectedly at his home. He would have turned 72 on Saturday, July 25, 2020. Wayne was born in Columbia, South Carolina. He was a graduate from Wofford College and the Medical College of Virginia. Furthermore, he completed an internship at the University of Oregon and completed his surgical residency at the University of Texas, San Antonio. He went on to dedicate over 40 years of skilled service in Orthopedics in Eastern Tennessee. Wayne is survived by the loving community of Morristown and his wife of 21 years, Mrs. Imelda McLemore, his daughter, Tamora McLemore, and his son, Wayne McLemore. He is also survived by his brother, Terry McLemore. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Ethelyne McLemore, and his sister, Gayle Bradshaw. His spirit will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone that he interacted with. Share your stories of remembrance on Sunday, July 26th, 2020 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home, 3521 W. Andrew Johnson Highway, Morristown, Tennessee. A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, followed by a memorial service beginning at 3:00 pm. If you are planning to attend, our family kindly asks that you wear a mask and practice safe social distancing. If you do not have a mask, there will be some provided.
