Edna Lou Rice, age 85, of Morristown, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Heritage Center. She was a member of Bean Station Church of God and was part of the ladies ministry there. She retired after thirty years of teaching in the state of Ohio and loved gardening, reading, scrapbooking, and traveling. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Scenia Isbill; brothers, Arthur (Betty) Isbill, Croley (Faye) Isbill, and Robert Isbill; sister, Janie (Charlie) Pence; and step-son, Phillip Rice. She is survived by her husband of twenty-seven years, Cecil Rice, whose faithful love and devoted care were a constant blessing throughout their marriage; sister, Mary Wilma (Jasper) Rice; daughters, Rhonda Kuhbander and Jayne (Benjamin) Flatter; step-son, Stephen (Sherry) Rice; step-daughter, Angela (Eric) Jensen; grandchildren, Nick (Brittany) Kuhbander, Sara (Tyler) Baker, Dustin (Julia) Flatter, Jeremiah Flatter, and Malachi (Anna Oostra) Flatter; step-grandchildren, Jordan Hoskins, Elrik (Felicia) Jensen, Tessa (Brady) Wilson, Kaylee (Jason) Helton, Kaelyn (Cody) Painter, and Caleb Rice; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Saturday, February 21st at the Bean Station Church of God. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the church with Rev. Mark Hatley and Margaret Morgan officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 22nd at New Mt. Zion Cemetery in Williamsburg, Kentucky with Rev. Jordan Hoskins officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Bean Station Church of God or Gentiva Hospice. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
