Edward Eugene Hull, age 92, of Morristown, Tennessee, lived a wonderful life and went peacefully to his heavenly home on March 8, 2026. He was born in Jefferson County, Tennessee to the late Earl E. Hull and Ruby Colboch Hull. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Keith Hull, Bennie Hull, and Mary Ann Mitchell. Edward proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. After his military service, he devoted 34 years to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency before retiring. Following his state retirement, one of his favorite jobs was working at Dollywood as a tram driver, where he enjoyed meeting visitors and sharing his friendly spirit with others. He was a faithful member of Morristown Baptist Tabernacle, where he loved his church and his church family dearly. Edward especially loved spending time crappie fishing, something that brought him great peace and joy throughout his life. Edward shared 50 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Blanche Maxey, who preceded him in death in 2007. In 2011, he found love again and married Ethel Patricia Davis, blending their families and creating many cherished relationships. She preceded him in death in 2025. He is survived by his children, Steve Hull, Linda (Dan) Leonard, and Todd (Rita) Hull; grandchildren, Matthew (Brooke) Leonard, Christopher Hull, and Graydon (Jaydan) Hull; great-grandchildren, Sadie and Ellie Leonard; extended family members Ola Maxey and Greg Maxey; along with several nieces and nephews. Through his marriage to Ethel Patricia Davis, he was also blessed with extended family including Dennis (Robin) Long, Mike (Terry) Long, the late Corey Long, Katelyn (Joey) Malone, Corbin Long, and Taylor Long; great-grandchildren Sydney, Karter, Kenzlee, and Carson; and J.R. (Debbie) Synamon. Ed will be remembered for his faith, his love of family, and his appreciation for the outdoors. May we find comfort in knowing he has cast his final line into the peaceful waters of Heaven. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, March 12th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Landon Harris officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Friday, March 13th at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services.
