Erma F. Brummitt, age 86, of Morristown, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Regency Retirement Village. She was a member of Rocky Point Baptist Church and was a teacher in the Hamblen County School System for thirty years. Erma was a Christian and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Marine Fletcher; brother, Donald “Tex” Fletcher; and brothers-in-law, Allen Harbin and Rick Hill. She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-five years, Jake Brummitt; sons, Greg (Darlene) Brummitt and Chad (Vicky) Brummitt; grandchildren, Hanna (TJ) Rose, Marla (Tyler) Rogers, Grace (Bradley) League, and Maddie (Preston) Parks; great-grandchildren, Oaklan Rogers, Adler Rogers, Amelia Rose, Annalee League, Emersyn League, Charlie and Deacon Parks; sisters, Carrol Harbin and Linda Hill; and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Rose Marie Brummitt, Ann Price, and Danny and Lisa Templin for their friendship and help. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
