Ervin H. Cox

Ervin H. Cox, age 74, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was a member of Way of the Cross Missionary Baptist Church in White Pine and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during Vietnam. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Cox; parents, Howell and Elizabeth Cox; daughter, Lisa Grate; sisters, Della Haynes and Jane McFalls; and brothers, Leonard Cox and Wendell Cox. He is survived by his children, Robin Neavitt, Crosby Neavitt, Linda Sockwell, Tammy Baxley, and Dezaray Cox; sisters, Faye (Max) Hartman and Joan Hubbard; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may pay their respects throughout the day from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6th at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 7th at Dandridge Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jack Greene officiating. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
