Frankie Dean, age 70, born June 24, 1951, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 with his wife by his side. In true fashion, he was stubborn until the end. Frankie was a member of Heaven’s View Missionary Baptist Church and was the former chief of the North Hamblen County Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, George “Wormy” and Lena Mae Dean; and brother, Raymond Dean. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Janice Dean, who was also his caregiver; son, Keith (Gina) Dean of Jefferson City; daughter, Kassie (Doug) Lephew of Russellville; grandchildren, Daniel Osborne (Abby Alexander) of Idaho, Matthew Dean (Shandra Burton) of Newport, and Clint Lephew and Holden Lephew of Russellville (Papaw’s pride and joy); and brothers and sisters, Dot (Dan) Kelly, Ted (Barbara) Dean, Larry (Edna) Dean, Stanley (Dorothy) Dean, and Tressie Dean Ward. The family will receive friends from 4 – 7 p.m. Sunday, January 2nd at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Lee Gulley officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Monday, January 3rd at Noe’s Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
