Fred Buford Reed, age 80, of Morristown, went to meet his Heavenly Father, free of pain and sickness and reunited with his precious daughter, on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at his residence. He was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Lea Industries after thirty six years. He will be loved and remembered by all who knew him as someone who would help anyone that ever needed help. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delphia and Zora Reed; daughter, Vicki Darlene Reed; three brothers; and one sister. He is survived by his wife of fifty five years, Stella “Lori” Reed, who he told everyone that she was the best thing that could have ever happened to an old country boy like him; brother, James; sister, Phyllis; and sister-in-law, Minnie Brewer, who loved him dearly. The family extends special thanks to Gentiva Hospice and nurses, Taylor Sexton, Brittany Johnson, Alicia Brunson, Tonda Webb, Traci Tallman, and Drema Murrell. Also, to guardian angels, Rod Barnhart and Bobbie Barnhart, the Summit Medical Group, and Dr. Clyde Worley. Special thanks to everyone who prayed for the family during this time. The family will receive friends from 12 -1 p.m. Friday, October 24th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Chaplain Aaron Mundy officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
