George W. Wolfe

George W. Wolfe, age 96, of Talbott, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at his residence. He was a member of New Beginning Baptist Church and served as a deacon for over forty plus years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War and worked at Magnavox for over thirty years. George loved life and was a “jokester,” always pulling pranks. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his first wife of fifty-seven years, Tersia Zadell Wolfe; parents, Sherman and Tennie Wolfe; siblings, Willis (Iva Jean) Wolfe, Vance (Fern) Wolfe, Edna Wolfe, Inez Wolfe (Clinton), Jewel Wolfe, and Ophair Wolfe; and step-daughter, Norma Saylor. He is survived by his wife of twenty years, Norma June Wolfe; sons, Gary (Paula) Wolfe, Jack (Catherine) Wolfe, and Jeff (Sarah) Wolfe; step-daughters, Elaine (Coy) Hayes, Karen Lakins, and Mary Lou Perry; grandchildren, Chuck (Charlene) Wolfe, Donna (James) Miller, Anthony Wolfe, Jacob (Alison) Wolfe, Samuel (Madeline) Wolfe, Emily Wolfe, Benjamin (Beth) Wolfe, and Chase (Amy) Wolfe; step-grandchildren, Nick and Dylan Saylor, Matthew and Jonathan Perry, Angel Bolden, Michelle Carpenter, Jamie Hayes, and Katrina Lakins; great-grandchildren, Autumn Wolfe, Michael Wolfe, Ariel (Gavin) St. Clair, Isaac (Emily) Miller, Sawyer Miller, Leahneese Miller, and Owen Wolfe; and step-great grandchildren, Saylour and Southern Perry, Gabby Perry, and Addison Bolden. Special thanks to Smoky Mountain Hospice for the compassionate care. The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Darrell Ramsey and Rev. Terry Bunch officiating. Interment will follow at Wolfe Cemetery. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
