George "G.W." William Pratt

George William “G.W.” Pratt, age 91, of Talbott, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was a former member of Cedar Hill Church of God and a current member of Talbott Church of God and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. G.W. loved wood-working, making sling shots, gardening, showing off his yodeling skills, and he had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Pratt; son, Scott Pratt; parents, Clifford and Elsie Pratt; sisters, Marcella Pratt and Desi Gregg; and brother, Randall Pratt. He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Booker (Michael Allen), Teresa Trent (Jeff Zimmerman), and Ramona Poe (Willie Pratt); grandchildren, Miranda Booker, Austin Trent, Derek (April) Poe, and Lucas (Madisson) Poe; great-grandchildren, Hannah Moody, Catherine Trent, Aaliyah Poe, Carson Poe, Kinslee Poe, and Liam Poe; great-great grandson, Rory Whitt Moody; and several nieces, nephews, and sisters-in-law. Special thanks to the Senior Citizen Home Assistance Service and the Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System nursing staff. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 26th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Travis Mills officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 27th at Sunderland Cemetery for military graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
