Gregory Wayne Young

Gregory Wayne Young, age 72, of Morristown, departed this life on Friday, May 19, 2023. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend. As a teen, he was saved and was of the Baptist faith. Greg was a 1968 graduate of Morristown High School. He enjoyed leatherwork, drawing, and repairing watches. In his later years, he devoted his time to taking care of his mother. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Dovie Green Young; brothers, Jimmy, Billy, Jackie, and Butch; nephews, Kenny and Brian Young; niece, Angie Cody; great-great nephew, Dominick Caparaso; and great-great niece, Graycn Chase Phillips. He is survived by his sister, Bobbie Lynn Young; sister-in-law, Ella Welch Morgan; special friends, George Boyle, Earl Hall, and Tim Smith; special neighbors, Criss Boyd, Serenity, and Ethan and Joshua Maag; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Life Care Center of Jefferson City for their care. Family and friends will meet at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 27th at Jarnagin Cemetery for graveside services with Rev.
