Gwendolyn “Gwen” Mae Hollifield, age 80, of White Pine, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at her residence. She was a member of Joseph’s Chapel Church. She loved sitting on her front porch and catching up on the latest news of those she cared about. Gwen was a loving mother and mamaw and loved to spend time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Rev. Eugene “Gene” Hollifield; parents, James Shoemaker and Martha Smallwood; and sisters, Edna Bass and Beatrice Beals. She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Hollifield, Kristie (Tony) Slay, and Kimberly (Travis) Greene; grandchildren, Amanda Wilson (Nick Gregory), Audrea (Corey) Foster, Adam (Tiffany) Wilson, Summer (Bobby) Cody, Kaitlyn (Hall) Latimer, and Kierra Greene; great-grandchildren, Revan Foster, Zoe Foster, Ezra Cody, Adali Cody, Eli Wilson, Hudson Latimer, Bauer Latimer, Easton Wilson, and Merritt Latimer; brother, Edward (Charlene) Shoemaker; and sister, Pauline Gray. The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 p.m. Friday, April 24th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Adam Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Joseph’s Chapel Cemetery in Bybee. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
