Harel Duane Shockley

Harel Duane Shockley, age 67, of Morristown, passed away Friday, April 5, 2019 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was a member of Mount Pleasant Methodist Church in Thorn Hill and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved antique cars and attending car shows. He was preceded in death by his parents, Add and Neva Shockley. He is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Karen Shockley; daughters, Amanda (Bill) Quackenbush, Lisa (Darrell) Watkins, and Ashley Shockley; grandchildren, Kalyn Newell, Kanyn Barnard, and Kamryn Barnard; great-grandchildren, Adalynn Newell and Arijah Smith; brother-in-law, David Arrington; and close family friend, Deborah Welch. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday, April 7th at Westside Chapel Funeral home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Denver Davidson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Monday, April 8th at Mount Pleasant Methodist Church Cemetery in Thorn Hill for graveside services.  Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
