Helen Ruth (Long) Bible

Helen Ruth Long Bible, of Morristown, left this world for Heaven on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at the age of 94. She fought a good fight, kept the faith, and finished her race! She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Ruth Long; husband, James E. Bible; son, Jeffrey Steven Bible; siblings, Hack Long, Arnold Long, James Long, and Agnes Hill; grandchildren, Josh Bible and Traci Bible Payne; and great-granddaughter, Emersyn Bruce. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Jerry Malone and Tina and Marty Worthington; daughter-in-law, Brenda Joan Bible; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Bill Helton; sister-in-law, Carole Long; grandchildren, Misty Bogle, James Adam (Becky) Bible, Brad (Jessica) Bible, Machela (Andrew) Bruce, and Elliott (Karcyn) Worthington; great-grandchildren, James A. Bible II, Shania Bible, April Bible, Dylann (Devaughn) Stanberry, Jayden Bogle, Gracie Barnard, Paige Bible, Zayden Bible, and Story Bible; and great-great grandchildren, Peyton Jording, Lydia Griffith, and Paisley Collins. Helen is a member of Cedar Hill Church of God where she was a Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir for many years. She has out-lived all her previous pastors. She retired from Wal-Mart in Morristown. For the past nine years, she resided at Jefferson Park Nursing Home in Dandridge. Special thanks to Mr. Mynatt, Jerry Haynes, Donielle Brinkley, and the entire staff for their love, care, and compassion for our mother. Graveside services and celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 28th at Hamblen Memory Gardens with Rev. Jerry Malone officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Morristown-Hamblen Humane Society in her memory.  Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
