Helen Allene (Helton) Messer

Helen Aileen Messer, age 66, of Morristown, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital in Knoxville. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Mary Helton; grandson, Chad Strange; and son-in-law, Robert Strange. She is survived by her husband, James Messer; daughter, Tammy Strange; sons, Michael Messer and Bobby Messer; grandchildren, Jake Messer, Aimee Messer, Shelby Messer, and Jessica Strange and her fiancé’, Ryan Goins; great-grandchildren, Bailee and Kylei Goins and Gage Riveria; brothers, James Helton, Phillip Helton, and John Helton; and sister, Eva Ramsey. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Monday, July 8th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Michael Taylor officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 9th at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
