Imogene Hancock Dotson, age 88, of Morristown, went to her Heavenly home on Monday, June 29, 2026. She was a member of Bean Station Church of God. She loved spending time with her family and always looked forward to family get-togethers. Throughout her life, she enjoyed playing music and singing with her husband of thirty-five years, James Dotson, and loved to sing in church. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Myrtle Hancock; sister, Dorothy “Dot” Smallman; and brother, James Carl “Butch” Hancock. Imogene is survived by her husband, James Dotson; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Scott Kington; granddaughter, Lacey Kington; grandson, Brent and his wife, Jessica Kington; great-granddaughter, Adelyn Kington; sister, Wanda Young of Whitesburg; nephews, Mark Smallman, Jeff Smallman, and Todd Young; and several cousins. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 1st at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Mark Hatley officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday. July 2nd at Economy Cemetery for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
