Imogene “Granny” (Long) Lane, age 87, of Morristown, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Life Care Center of Morristown. She was a member of Swann Creek Church and loved to quilt. She was a loving mother and granny and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Long; daughter, Kathy Stubblefield; granddaughter, Kayla Cody; brothers, Carl and Everett Lawson; and sisters, Stella Royston, Nina Trent, and Goldie Brewer. She is survived by her son, Thomas (Sue Ellen) Long; daughters, Helen (David) Stuffel, Phyllis Winstead, and Priscilla (Curtis) Barnard; grandchildren, Cindy Bird, Daniel (Codee) Stuffel, Leslie (Devin) Cribley, Kathy (Andrew) Greene, Ashley (Jimmy) Wolfe, Cody (Hannah) Carroll, Mitchell Long, and Michael Long; fourteen great-grandchildren; and sisters, Margaret Purkey, Wanda Carroll, Faye (Jack) Ferrell, and Brenda Anderson. Special thanks to the staff of Life Care Center of Morristown and Gentiva Hospice. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, April 12th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Andrew Greene and Rev. Devin Cribley officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13th at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
