Isom Fields

Isom Fields, age 86, of Morristown, passed away peacefully and went to his Heavenly home surrounded by his loving wife and children on Sunday, July 26, 2026. Isom was a long-standing member of the Church of God of Prophecy and presently a member at Lakemoore Church of God of Prophecy in Morristown. He was a retired Roadway Express truck driver and an avid bluegrass fan, especially Authentic Unlimited and Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Susan Fields; and siblings, Effie, Owen, Jasper, Vina, Leva, Dan, Lonnie, Elizabeth, Arizona, Benton, and Mary Ellen. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-three years, Darlene Fields; children and their spouses, William (Deanna) Fields, Elisa (Robert) Carpenter, Jefferey Fields I, Elena (Dennis) Lowe, and Edana Fields; grandchildren, Will Fields, Zachary Wheatley, Allen Carpenter, Rachel (David) Harris, Jarred (Kristen) Carpenter, Tonya Linkous (Derrick), Jeffrey II (Whitney) Fields, Christopher (Megan) Lowe, and Keegan Lowe; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Parker, Delaney, Madison, Liliana, Jamison, Nova, Dottie, Gage, Reed, Roman, Southern, Lennox, Paisley, and Avery; other family members include Ginny, Janice, Charles, Chelsea, Chance, Callie, and many more special family and friends, especially his fellow Roadway Express drivers. The family gives special thanks to all the nurses and staff with Amedisys Hospice for the care provided these past few months. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 29th at Lakemoore Church of God of Prophecy. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the church with Rev. Robert Carpenter and Rev. Jeff Porter officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 30th at Hamblen Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
