Jackie Don “Blue Gill” Gibson, age 65, of Russellville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at his residence with his companion and family by his side. He retired from Rich’s Products and loved to fish and go to drag racing. Jackie was of the Baptist faith and was saved at an early age. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Miller Collier; step-father, Charles Estil “Chuck” Collier; sister, Ada Ruth Dickerson; brother, Paul “Tate” Gibson; brothers-in-law, Ray Dickerson, Buddy Smith, and Tommy Eidson; nephew, Louis “Louie” Smith; and great-nephew, Dusty Coffey. He is survived by his companion and caregiver, Lori Haynes; sisters, Mary Ella Eidson, Helen Smith, Linda (Bobby) Gibson, and Jerusha “Tootie” Young; brother, David (Judi) Gibson; nieces, Brenda Gibson, Diane (Jason) Barnard, and Paula Gibson; nephews, Mark (Melissa) Smith, Robert (Traci) Young, and Donald (Tonya) Gibson; and many cousins. Special thanks to Little Harvey and Betty Long for being so kind to Jackie and to Randy Morrisett, Cole, Ryan, Bobby Mason, Johnny Morgan, Tony, and Lee Anna from Rich’s Plant Two that he called his extended family. Thanks to Dr. Doddabele and staff for their care and to all his friends at the Senior Center. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 14th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 15th at Adriel Baptist Church Cemetery in Bean Station for graveside services with Rev. Donald Gibson officiating.
