James R. Masengill

James R. Masengill, age 70, of Talbott, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System surrounded by family and friends following an extended illness. He was a Vietnam veteran having served with the United States Army. He was a retired truck driver from W.E. Graham of thirty-one years. James was a loving and devoted husband and father and will be sadly missed by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Stella Masengill; sister, Judy Dixon; and brothers, Gene and Johnny Masengill. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Sandra Masengill; son, Jeff Masengill; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and David Greene; and sisters, Annie Gann, Helen Wells, and Lucille Brown. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, December 28 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Military graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 29 at Old Miller Cemetery in Talbott. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
