James Clarence White, Sr., age 75, of Morristown, passed away Friday, July 9, 2021 at his residence. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed. He worked for and retired from the City of Morristown. A was a deacon of the church and well known and loved in his community. He was preceded in death by his father, John Henry White; mother, Novela Brooks; son, Anthony T. White; and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Rev. Joyce A. Cox White; children, Mary D. White Clark, James C. White, Jr., and Lorie A. White; grandchildren, Taneshia Clark, Latreshia Clark, Rayonia Clark, Isaiah J. White, Jordan White, and Tasha White; great-grandchildren, Talayia, Legand, Serenity, Hezikiah, Reign, and Jazmain; three siblings; and niece, Felicia. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m. Friday, July 16th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hamblen Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
