James "Eddie" Fuller Obituary

James Edward “Eddie” Fuller, age 74, passed away on January 18, 2025 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was born on November 22, 1950 in Morristown to James Cecil “JC” and Beverly Fuller. He was a lifelong resident of Morristown and a graduate of Morristown High School and University of Tennessee - Knoxville. At the time of his death he had been married to his wife Sharon (née Hairston) for 50 years. He worked as an independent architect for over 40 years, designing commercial properties of all types; many of his projects are distinguished by the clock towers he incorporated into his designs. He also dabbled in related professional ventures including real estate development, teaching drafting to community college students, and owning a computer hardware business. He is the author of several technical books on computer-aided design that were published internationally in the late 1980s and 1990s. Over the years, he had a curiosity for many colorful and adventuresome hobbies and cycled through them with great passion: challenging himself on the still rings in gymnastics as a young man, speed boating, airplane piloting, scuba diving, dune buggy riding, amateur car racing, RV camping, skeet and target shooting, early computer hardware, dark room photography, road and mountain biking, watercolor painting, fiction writing, and spending time in the Smoky Mountains. He was a lifelong NASCAR fan. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughters, Jennifer Fuller of New York City and Emily (Seth) Rowlette of Knoxville; grandson, Lennon Rowlette; granddaughter, Ruby Rowlette; sisters, Nancy (Paul) Muscari, Leisa Fuller, and Carolyn Winstead of Morristown; brother David (Michelle) Fuller of Morristown; sister Jill Sluder of Kingwood, Texas; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Boys & Girls Club of Morristown, 311 Sulphur Springs Road, Morristown, TN 37813 or https://bgcmorristown.org, or the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Road, S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047 or https://www.lbda.org/donate/.
