James “Jim” William Ellis, of Talbott, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, surrounded by his family. He is finally at home with his wife, Gay, and Jesus. He was so looking forward to this. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved his family unconditionally and would do anything for them. Most of all, he was a wonderful witness for his Lord and served Him selflessly. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty five years, Gay Ellis; brothers, Ben and Evan; sisters, Laura Jo, Marie, and Elizabeth; and his grandson, Nathan. He is survived by his children, Ron (Donna) Ellis, Diana (Mickey) Derry, and Dale (Virginia) Ellis; grandchildren Erin, Adam, Rachel, Roger, Riley, Erik, and Kacey; great-grandchildren, Stacia, Cali, Zoie, Tyler, Sadie, Khloe, Ivy, Hunter, Isaac, and Emma; brother, Doug; and sister, Nancy. The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 p.m. Monday, December 2nd at Grace Point Baptist Church in Jefferson City. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. at the church with Rev. George Miller officiating. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
