James “Jim” Dalton West, age 90, of Talbott, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at his home. Jim retired from Immel Zinc Mines with forty one years of service and from Jefferson County Landfill with eight years of service. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, George and Jennie Bell West; his wife of fifty three years, Marie West; his wife of thirteen years, Evelyn West; daughter, Judy Reynolds; and infant sister, Georgia Mae West. He is survived by his sons, Jimmy (Iliana) West and Jeff (Judy) West; grandchildren, James “Bo” West, Jessica West, Jameson (Todd) Martin, Jenny (Dana) Bolden, Jennifer (Jeremy) Weston, Justina (Luke) Barnes, and Jannah (Brian) Mills; great-grandchildren, Madison and Peyton Cody, Colton, Jaxton, and Arlie Martin, Ayden and Jurni Weston, Jyclyn West, Jaycie, Jazmyn, and Laythan Barnes, and Aubrie, Brylee, and Cooper Mills; and great-great grandson, Kayde Estes. The family would like to give special thanks to niece, Debbie (Jackie) Crider, sister-in-law, Inez Knight, and to the staff of Amedisys for their care and support during this difficult time. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 21st at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Phil Hopkins and Rev. Sonny Beaver officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 22nd at Sartain Springs Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
