James "Junior" H. Cody, Jr.

James H. “Junior” Cody, Jr., age 72, of Morristown, passed away Monday, August 12, 2024 at his home. He was a member of Rock Bridge Baptist Church. Junior was an avid gun collector, loved riding Harleys, raised and bred Beagles, and participated in Turkey Shoots. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Hollis Cody, Sr. and Geneva Bentley; brother, Larry Cody; nephew, Kenneth Bunch; and special friend, Diane Eddington. He is survived by his wife of thirty five years, Cherry Cody; son, Jeff (Stephanie) Townsley; daughter, Kim Taylor; grandchildren, Adreanna Bailey, Cooper Moore, Nikki Townsley, and Montea Boring; great grandchildren, Storm Bailey and several others; brother, Dan Cody; sister, Claudine (Darrell) Bunch; and special road dog, Sosa. Special thanks to Pat Cody, Debbie Sherrills, Garnett M., Lynn Greene and the All Care employees. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, August 15th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Don Lamb officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2 p.m. Friday, August 16th at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
