James "Mike" Michael Messer

James Michael “Mike” Messer, age 69, of Russellville, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Messer; daughter, Tammy (Gene) Strange; grandson, Chad Strange; and father, Edgar Messer. He is survived by his sons, Bobby Messer and Michael Messer;  mother, Illa Messer; grandchildren, Jessica (Ryan) Goins, Aimee Messer, Jake Messer, and Shelby Messer; great-grandchildren, Bailee, Kylei, and Gage; brothers, Randy Messer and E.J. Messer; and sisters, Linda Taylor, Rose White, Jean Sinard, and Doris Hall. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, October 8th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Jack Greene officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 9th at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery for graveside services.
