Jimmie Ray Hollifield, Sr., age 78, of Bean Station, a devoted man of faith and family, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 21, 2025 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a member of Joseph’s Chapel Church and a Baptist pastor. Jim leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. He was a God-fearing, God-abiding man and lived his life to spread the Gospel and share the light of Christ with everyone he met. Family was the center of Jim’s world and he loved them more than anything and would do anything for them. His love and support never wavered, and even in the hardest times, he was always there with open arms and an open heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Pearl Hollifield; brothers, Bea, Will, Floyd, Ron, Gene, and Benny Hollifield; and sisters, Jessie Mae Johnson and Mary Crestwell. He is survived by his wife of fifty five years, Rhonda Hollifield; children, Jimmie Hollifield, Jr., Angela Phillips, Robert Hollifield, David Hollifield, Paul Hollifield, and Mary (Jamie) Lewis; grandchildren, Ashley (Jessie), Justin (Laycee), Amber, Chase, Kirsten, Kiera, and Kinley; great-grandchildren, Tori, Gauge, and Holden; sister, Ruth (Oscar) Arms; special friend, Jimmy Eldridge; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Sunday, November 23rd at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Kenny Davis and grandson, Justin Ferrell officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Monday, November 24th at St. Paul Cemetery for graveside services.
