Jimmy Rines, age 93, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Life Care of Morristown. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany during World War II. He started the first Harley Davidson dealership in Morristown in the 1950’s, was the owner of Jimmy’s Texaco and Jimmy’s American, and was best known as the owner of Jimmy’s Auto Parts for thirty-five years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Wilby Rines; sister, Pauline White; and brother, Bobby Rines. He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Shirley Rines; son, Scotty (Gail) Rines; daughter, Becky (Darrell) Hodge; grandchildren, Taylor Rines and Garrett Rines; and nephew, Gilbert White. Special thanks to Dewitt Place Assisted Living, Life Care of Morristown, Avalon Hospice, and Dr. Rajeev Gupta and staff. Friends may pay their respects from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Friday, May 1st at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 1st at Jarnagin Cemetery.
