Jimmy Wayne Short

Jimmy Wayne Short, age 76, of Whitesburg, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024 at his residence. He was a  Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lora Short; parents, Danie and Sarah Short; step-son, Adrian Whitehead; brothers, Clay, Clarence, Joe, Max, Bill, and Charles Short; and sisters, Margaret Clevenger and Shirley Newman. He is survived by his sons, Jimmy (Heather) Short, Jessee Short, and Casey Short; daughter, Amy Parker; grandchildren, Laura Short, Zachary Short, Trevor Short, Haven Short, Lacey Moore, Haley Porter, Reeselyn Short, and Cameron Short, Aiden McBride; and sister, Alice Harville. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 18th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Terry Greene officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 19th at Meek Cemetery in Bean Station for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
