Jimmy J. “The Pepsi Man” Fox, age 76, of Morristown, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, May 21, 2021. He was a charter member of Midtown Missionary Baptist Church and was retired from the Pepsi Bottling Company after thirty years of service. He never met a stranger and had a great sense of humor. He was also a former gospel singer with the Homeward Way Quartet, loved to fish, and was a long-standing member at Hillbilly’s Cabin Restaurant. He was preceded in death by his father, John Andrew Fox; mother, Carrie Etta Fox Bass; former wife, JoAnne Fox; brother, J.C. Fox; sisters, Virgie (Bill) Garrettson and Ruby Fox; and step-father, Olin Bass. He is survived by his children, Sherry Fox, Kim Dalton, Brandi (Eugene) Barnett, and Brent Fox; grandchildren, Dustin (Brandi) Young, Jordan Dalton, Kobe Barnett, Logan Barnett, and Haylee Barnett; great-grandchildren, Erianna and Lyanna Young; girlfriend, Ruby Moore; special friends, Chuck Brooks and Freda McCarty; his extended Pepsi family; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Gupta and Cory and the nurses at U.T. Home Health, Karen, Brittany, Barb, and Logan. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 25th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 26th at Midtown Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Phil Hopkins officiating. The body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the service. Interment will follow at Hamblen Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
