John Wayne Stutts

John Wayne Stutts, age 76, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Serenity Hospice House after battling cancer and COVID. He loved antique cars, computers, fishing, his dog, “Jack,” and was able to fix anything. John was a loving husband, father, and Pappy and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Ruth and Jack Weston; sister, Linda Courtney; and infant brother, John Barron Stutts. He is survived by his wife of fifty three years, Atha Stutts; daughters, Jeannie (Dr. Paul) Jett, Jackie (Darren) Ball, and Jonnie (Matt) Byres; grandchildren, Jaxson Brown, Polly Jett, Essie Jett, Jameson Brown, and Britain Byres; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 – 3 p.m. Thursday, August 4th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Bethesda Cemetery with Rev. Tim Jones officiating.
