Jonathan "Jon Boy" Dale Carpenter

Jonathan Dale “Jon Boy” Carpenter, age 29, of Morristown, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021. He was a member of New Start Baptist Church and had a God-given talent to sing and play his guitar for the Lord. He always loved to make others laugh and encourage everyone. He was a care giver and always loved to talk about his Lord and Savior. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and the love of his life was his son, Grayson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Martha Henson and Dewey and Cecilia Russell; and his baby angel sister. He is survived by his wife, April Carpenter; son, Grayson Carpenter; parents, Ronnie and Becky Carpenter; sisters, Crystal (David) Carter, Tasha (Edward) Collins, Tiffany (Tyler) Gossett, April Young, and Robbie Young; brother, Daniel Holder; grandfather, Donald Carpenter; nieces and nephews, B.B. Rissy, Kenzie Carter, Gabby and Noah Carpenter, and Nevaeh Collins; close friend, Faye “Mu”; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and close church family. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Sunday, July 25th at New Start Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the church with Rev. Ken Massey officiating. Family and friends will meet at 3 p.m. Monday, July 26th at Bethesda Cemetery for graveside services.   Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
