Joseph Charles Cannon

Joseph Charles Cannon, age 81, of Talbott, departed to be face to face with the Lord on Sunday, December 22, 2024. Charles was honored to serve in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after twenty five years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Margaret Cannon; sister, Betty Jo Cannon Hill; and nephew, Mark Hill. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Willistene Smith Cannon; nieces, Shirley (Stan) Purkey, Barbara Henson, Donna Dearing, and Katie Williams; nephews, Mack Hill and Richard Hill, all of Morristown; and furry friend, Spencer. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 27th at the Ebenezer Methodist Church, 1122 Ebenezer Church Road with Rev. Travis Webb officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to the service. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
