Josh Carter Moore

Joshua “Josh” Carter Moore, age 29, of Morristown, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 24, 2022. Josh was born on August 20, 1992. He trusted Christ as his savior at an early age. Josh graduated from Morristown West High School in 2010. He was employed at UPS.

If you had the privilege to know Josh, you were blessed. He was one of the most genuine, caring, and thoughtful people you could ever hope to know. Josh was funny. If you were around him long, you were laughing! He was hardworking and loved the outdoors. He loved to hike and build things and grow things. He will be missed by so many, but he is in Heaven now with no more worries or cares.

Josh is survived by his best friend and love of his life, Tarah Adkins; his loving parents, Angela and David Yount and Brian and Stacie Moore; grandmothers, Sandra McClellan, Mary Lynn Moore and Marie Yount; siblings, Corbin and Ava Yount, Mikayla Moore, Cody Daniels and Tyler Davis; aunts and uncles, John and Ashley McClellan, Norman and Lorie Yount and Candance Proffitt; cousins, Connard, Davis and Carter McClellan; and many other close friends. Josh was preceded in death by his papaws, John C. McClellan, Jr., and Willie Yount.

Pallbearers will be Cody Dillmon, Weston King, Jimmy Cambell, Bradford Campbell, Jonathan “Shomp” Campbell, Blake Mann and Matt Tinsley.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Monday, June 27th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Jason Lemka and Rev. Marty Henry officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 28th at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
