Joshua Robert Reed

Joshua Robert Reed, age 34, was born to Zak Reed and Nikki Bise Thomas on January 8th, 1987 in Biloxi, MS. He traded the struggles of this world for an eternity in Heaven on Friday, July 16, 2021.  He had made preparations for that day when he was a young boy by placing his faith in God and choosing to follow after Him.  Josh was an amazing prayer warrior and wouldn’t hesitate to pray for anyone that had a need. He was a member of Alpha Baptist Church. Josh was raised by his grandmother, Joyce Reed, who he completely adored and affectionately referred to as “Wazer”. He was preceded in death by his Poppie, Bob Reed; best friend, Adam Rosenbaum; grandpa, Danny Bise; and uncle, Brad Bise.  He is survived by his grandmother, Joyce Reed; grandmomma, Charlotte Bise; mother, Nikki Bise Thomas; father, Zak Reed; brother, Jake; aunts, Kristy Cornett, Candi Reed, McKenzie Reed and Robbin Bise; uncles, Jason & Joey Reed, Brian Bise, and Craig Cornett; special friend, Randy; and several special cousins that loved him dearly.  Josh was an avid sports enthusiast who always kept up with the latest in Indiana Basketball and Notre Dame Football and in turn knew every stat on every player in every game. He also loved all genres of music and got his love of both of those things from his Poppie.  We have hope in knowing that we will see Joshua again and it is for that very reason that we can say to him as he said often to us “We’ll catch you on the flip”. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Monday, July 26th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home with a private funeral at Noon. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
