Joyce Ellen (Golden) Douglas

Joyce Ellen Douglas, age 78, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Life Care Center of Morristown. She was a faithful member of West View Baptist Church for sixty-two years and loved being a part of the WMU. She was a loving sister and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Douglas; parents, Jeff and Maxine Golden; sister, Kay Whitaker; and nephew, Jayme Overbay. She is survived by her sisters, Vonda (Frank) Dean and Phyllis (David) Sigler; step-son, Greg (Machanda) Douglas; step-grandchildren, Zinnia, Landon, Piper, Harper, and Desariah Douglas-Wolford, and Savana (John) Fontana; step-great grandchildren, Gracen, Summer, and Jeremiah; sister-in-law, Bobbie Jean Satterfield; nieces and nephews, Darlene (Mike) Elkins, Jason Overbay, Olivia, Keely, Andrew, Finn, and Caleb Dean, Seth (Emily) Overbay, Leighton and Kelsey (Miller) Parks, Tate, Tucker, and Cory (Rachel) Sigler, Hadley, and Ricky Holbert; and special friends, Becky Brogan, Mary Morgan, and Delores Epps. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 7th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 8th at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
