Juanita "Bokie" (Brewer) Ramsey

Juanita “Bokie” Ramsey, age 89, of Morristown, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024. She was a member of Bible Aires Baptist Church. Bokie was a loving and devoted Christian, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother and will be dearly missed. She loved the Spring and Fall time of the year enjoying nature and riding in her car to see the leaves. She was preceded in death by her husband, Avery Pearl Ramsey; son, Mark Ramsey; infant granddaughter, Jennifer Dianne Johnson; son-in-law, Lonnie Earl Johnson, Sr.; and sister, Geneva Hopkins. She is survived by her children, Dwayne A. Ramsey, Lisa Ramsey Johnson, and Keith M. (LeaAnna) Ramsey; brother, Jim (Mary) Brewer; daughter-in-law, Tracy Ramsey; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Special thanks to Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice and Kelsey Farmer, Kristin Smith, Noah Smith, and Virgie Green. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 28th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Mark Roberts officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 29th at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for graveside services.
