Judy "Kat" Kathleen (Sexton) Reed

Judy “Kat” Kathleen Reed, age 79, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, May 17, 2025. She was a member of Statem Gap Baptist Church. Kat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and neighbor to all and was loved equally in return. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Ricky Dale Reed; parents, Shirley and Fay Sexton; brother, Jim Sexton; and sister, Brenda Hall. She is survived by her husband, Charles “Doc” Reed; daughter, Lisa Brockwell; son, Chuck (Reatha) Reed; grandsons, Waylon (Emily) Reed, Steven (Rachel) Reed, Clayton Brockwell, and Riley McKnight; granddaughter, Chelsea Key; great-grandchildren who were the joy of her life, Benjamin, Hardin, Layne, Levi, Cayson, Wyatt, Cortlynn, Axl, Christopher, Remington, Royal, and her namesake, Lily Kathleen; and brother, Junior (Juanita) Sexton. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 21st at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Benny Jones, Bro. Keith Shirks, and Rev. Dwayne Hayes officiating. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
